OUR MISSION
Our mission is to transform the futures of children in Africa, breaking the chains of poverty that trap them in cycles of hopelessness and despair. We do this by providing more than just the basics—food, clothing, shelter, and protection—we offer them a chance at a better life through education.
Our focus is on the most vulnerable, those from backgrounds so disadvantaged that without intervention, they could easily end up on the streets or facing even graver circumstances.
The schools we partner with offer a nurturing and supportive environment where these children can experience the childhood they deserve—one filled with safety, joy, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
But we don’t stop at meeting their immediate needs. Our goal is to equip each child with the tools they need to complete their education and embark on a vocational pathway, empowering them to escape the poverty cycle and build a sustainable future.
We may not be able to change the world for everyone, but with your support, we can change the world for someone.

Breaking the Poverty Cycle
Many families in Africa live below the international poverty line. As a result, they do not have access to even the most basic facilities and lack of education keeps them trapped in the poverty cycle for life.

Our mission at Tumaini Hope for Children is to break this poverty cycle for as many children as possible by providing clothing, food, shelter, protection, and education.​​

Many children have also experienced abuse and mistreatment and as a result, the nurture and love we provide is critical in giving them a real childhood.

By giving them a solid educational grounding with a vocational focus, we enable many children to secure viable employment and create a fulfilling and joyful life.

HOW YOU CAN HELP?
Our flagship project is Tumaini Brooks School, in Kiambu, Kenya. Here we care for around 600 children who come from the most disadvantaged backgrounds througout the country. Just £20/$25 a month can truly change their lives by providing the food, clothing, shelter, protection and education they need to break free of the poverty cycle and lead a life of hope and purpose. ​
